The Mall School is an independent preparatory day school for boys, in Twickenham, London. The boys enter the pre-prep school at the age of 4. They then automatically transfer to the junior school, then eventually, the senior school before leaving for a range of senior schools at the age of 13. The majority of boys go on to some of the leading London day schools, particularly St. Paul's School, Hampton School and King's College School. Some pupils choose a wide range of boarding schools. As a prep school, The Mall School specialises in preparing boys for pre-tests, Common Entrance or Scholarship Entry to their senior school.

Facilities

School facilities include: a 160-seat theatre; science labs; an art studio; an ICT suite; a library; interactive whiteboards (throughout most of the school); an indoor swimming pool; and rugby, football and cricket pitches in Bushy Park - one of the Royal Parks in London where deer can roam freely.

School Lunches

School lunches offer a balanced and fresh choice of foods. All cooking is done fresh on the premises. Each day there is a choice of fresh foods or hot but fresh salads. Over a four-week cycle, there is always one choice of fresh meat. Fresh fish is always offered at least three times a week. There is a choice of fresh vegetables for the boys, and the boys are encouraged to eat them all and to not leave food waste. Bins are provided for the boys to throw away any food waste. Dessert choices always include fresh fruit and yogurt. These are placed in a refrigerator for the boys, to maximise freshness. The boys are always provided with fresh jugs of water on the table to drink from cups, which are also placed on the table for the boys. However these have been known to run out before the boys towards the end of lunch can drink. Also, often when there is a dish that is very popular, the last boys into lunch get a substitute as the school has run out but it still tastes good and will always be fresh.

Link with Chitsime School (Malawi)

The Mall School has formed a partnership with Chitsime School in Malawi. It is the focus of many of the boys' fundraising activities and the boys aim to help the school in as many ways that are practicable. The boys are aware of the privileged situation they enjoy and the boys are highly motivated to support the partnership they have with Chitsime School boys.

In the last two years, the boys at The Mall have raised over £14,000 to provide brand new classrooms for Chitsime School for the boys.
