Is it possible to use computers with different motherboards, cpus and network cards in a rocks cluster distribution?

i am trying to build a small cluster computer out of 5 computers using rocks cluster distribution, but i have a minor issue.

The computers i want to use have different motherboards, cpus and network cards because i picked most of them up from a second-hand store (im doing this the super-cheap way and yes the computers all still work perfectly)

The tutorial i read said i should have my compute "nodes" all have the same motherboards, cpus and network cards (here is the tutorial by the way: https://www.wikihow.com/Build-a-Supercomputer), but i dont want to go and buy 10 compute nodes online, and these second-hand computers are the only ones i have to pull this off, so the core of my question is:
Is it possible to use computers with different motherboards, cpus and network cards in a rocks cluster distribution cluster computer?

Thank you.
